Consultancy and Applied Research Work

As a result of my research on the armed forces, I have been increasingly engaged in consultancy work, offering advice to military organisations with whom I have worked.
For example I was asked to consult the IDF when the then new institution of Chief Reserve Officer was established.

In additions I have participated in numerous committees set up by the Israel Defense Forces on such subjects as the reserve system or relations with civilian Palestinians. In this respect, I have also been invited as an expert witness to committees about the conscript system, the permanent force as well as military leadership.

Since the end of the 1990s I have also been asked by the IDF to head or participate in research projects such as those focusing on combat units, the management of diversity, leadership and leadership development and the handling of civilians by the military.
